Pastor’s Note for this Week
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Last weekend I gave an update at all of the Masses on our financial situation. I realize that many families are away traveling during the summer so I wanted to provide a written summary as well.
I want to thank everyone for their prayers and concerns as we addressed a shortfall in revenue. I greatly appreciate all of the advice and work the consultative bodies did in advising me and looking for solutions to the challenges at hand.
The Great Gift of the Saints
“There are very dear people in the life of each one of us to whom we feel particularly close, some of whom are already in God’s embrace while others still share with us the journey through life: they are our parents, relatives and teachers; they are the people to whom we have done good or […]

PRAYER
Gracious God, we praise and thank you for the Catholic Church in Western Washington.
We praise and thank you for the women and men who have shared the joy of the Gospel here
for more than 170 years.
Send your Holy Spirit upon us that we might encounter your Son anew and become more
effective partners in sharing the Good News of his saving love.
May our partnership in the Gospel empower us to be your missionary disciples, bringing the
Good News to all, especially to those who are marginalized or hurting in any way.
Give us the courage, the flexibility and the vision to renew parish life, so that the good work,
begun long ago, may continue among us, and one day, be brought to completion in your
Kingdom, where you live and reign for ever and ever. Amen.
