Process
For Youth
The general process for youth is a one-year process.
Candidates will begin attending Confirmation classes, separate from Youth Group. They will continue to attend Youth Group and other Youth Group activities. Sponsors of the candidates are asked to attend some of the Confirmation Classes with their candidate.
To be eligible for Confirmation this year, youth must meet the following requirements:

At least 13 years of age by the date of Confirmation Mass.

Attend weekly Sunday Mass.
- Attend the Confirmation Retreat.

Have received Baptism and their First Communion (and will provide copies of their certificates).
- Fill out the Online Registration Form OR return the Paper Registration Form by the first Confirmation class. Sponsor Verification Form is due by January 14, along with all of the other forms and fee.
Confirmation is celebrated in a Mass to which the whole community is invited.

Schedule
Confirmation classes will kick off with a Parents-Only Meeting on:

…..St. Teresa Social Hall
It will be an opportunity for parents to turn in paperwork, meet the team, and ask any questions they may have.
Moving forward, classes will be held every Thursday (unless otherwise stated) from 6:30PM to 7:45PM at St. Teresa. Please pick up your child promptly by end time. Download the Confirmation Schedule.
Confirmation Mass will be announced after January 2027.
Volunteer Positions
If you are interested in volunteering this year (or know of someone looking to get some volunteer hours in), please email Andrew at andrew@saintteresa.org.
Currently accepting adult volunteers to lead small groups. Teen volunteers are welcome to apply. All candidates will go through a brief interview and vetting process.

Important Dates:
- Thursday, January 14 – All paperwork is due: copy of Baptismal certificate, copy of First Communion certificate, Registration form, Sponsor Verification form, sponsor Confirmation Certificate, and $30 class fee.
- Saturdays, January 9 and May 1 – Mandatory Confirmation Retreat Day 1 and 2.
- Pending – Palanca Letters Due.
- Thursday, May 13 – Confirmation Mass Rehearsal. Sponsors attend.
- Pending – Confirmation Mass.
Background
Confirmation, together with Baptism and Eucharist, form the Sacraments of Initiation that are all intimately connected. In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is “sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit” and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ.
